I stopped by the Rmagic shop when I visited Japan in January. I purchased the Shift ****, and the Shift "color" (what was probably meant to be collar). I have not seen any specific threads on this or installs or how it fits, so I did not know what to expect. So in case anyone was wondering how it fits or what it does... In conclusion. - It will not work with the Axial Flow short throw shifter. - It will not work with the Rmagic short throw shifter. (this was stated in the product description on japanparts) - It will work with the stock shifter. - It does not snap onto the shifter like the stock collars do. - It does feel good with the stock shifter, but not as good as the axial flow. - It cost me 3,000 - Their Shop is super cool.
OHLINS MAS-MI00S1 Road & Track Coilover Suspension for Mazda RX8 (Series 1 & 2, 2003-2012)
I use the Ohlins coilovers on my RX8, which is mainly used for street use and I found the standard spring rates to be too soft in the rear but the fronts to be fine. I changed my rear springs to about 350lbs/in and it feels pretty good to me now.
A Mazda RX8 fuel pump replacement or fuel system component for owners maintaining or upgrading their car. Reliable fuel delivery is non-negotiable for a rotary engine that depends on precise, consistent fuelling across its rev range.
A worn or failing pump starves the engine at precisely the moment it demands the most. That moment might be climbing toward the redline on a back road, or holding throttle on a long freeway run. Because of this, Australian owners need a replacement with confirmed fitment and known condition, not a used pump pulled from a wrecked car.
A 13B-MSP runs on a combustion cycle that differs fundamentally from a piston engine. It relies on precise, consistent fuelling at every point across its rev range. There is no slack for momentary lean conditions. For example, an in-tank pump that is marginal under load will show up as hesitation or lean stumbles long before it fails completely. Therefore, replacing the fuel pump at service intervals keeps the fuel system ahead of the problem rather than reacting to it.
Fitment confirmation is the first step before anything else. Not every fuel pump suits every application. However, owners sourcing a replacement should check individual product details carefully against their vehicle’s current configuration.
Beyond a like-for-like OEM-spec replacement, higher-output options are also available for builds where increased fuel flow supports additional modifications. The DeatschWerks DW200 Mazda RX8 fuel pump is a well-regarded choice for owners wanting a performance-spec unit in Australia. Developed by DeatschWerks, it carries a known flow rating and a track record in modified applications.
For owners searching for a Mazda RX8 fuel pump or broader fuel system components in Australia, local availability matters for lead times and fitment support. As a result, each product listing in this range includes specific fitment information, use it. If you are comparing options or have questions about which pump suits your build, the answers are in the individual product pages, not assumptions about interchangeability.
The RX8 fuel system range includes in-tank fuel pump options suited to maintenance replacements and upgrade paths. Each product carries its own fitment details, so check the individual listing to confirm the pump suits your specific vehicle configuration before ordering.
Not all RX8 fuel pumps share the same fitment across Series 1 and Series 2 vehicles. Always review the stated fitment on the individual product page before purchasing, as assuming interchangeability can result in an incompatible part.
The DeatschWerks DW200 is listed as an option within the RX8 fuel pump range. Check the individual product details carefully to confirm fitment against your vehicle's current setup and intended use before committing to purchase.
A new fuel pump gives you a known-condition starting point, whereas a used pump carries an unknown service history and wear state. For a component as critical to reliable fuel delivery as the in-tank pump, starting fresh removes an unnecessary variable from your build or maintenance work.
Common signs of a deteriorating RX8 fuel pump include hard starting, inconsistent idle, hesitation under load, and difficulty maintaining fuel pressure. Because rotary engines are sensitive to fuel delivery consistency, addressing pump condition early is worthwhile rather than waiting for a full failure.
The category includes options suited to both straightforward maintenance replacements and owners planning a broader fuel system upgrade. Review each product's stated intended use and flow rating to determine whether it matches your engine's current or planned state of tune.
Replacing an RX8 in-tank fuel pump typically requires draining or lowering the fuel level, removing the rear seat or access panel, and disconnecting the pump assembly from the sender unit. A fuel pump lock-ring removal tool is generally needed. Refer to the individual product instructions and a workshop manual for your specific vehicle.
