I agree with this. I have an HKS cat back w racing beat mid pipe and it sounds exactly like this. A quiet yet decent pitch rumble and it sounds great. Not over the top and not too quiet
Same setup. Cold starts don't wake up the neighborhood, albeit you're by no means a Prius. But anything above 4.5k it definitely starts to scream.
No drone. Windows up and music up, you won't even hear your own exhaust lol.
By far my favorite sounding exhaust setup on these cars, loudness aside, the tone is just crisp, clear, and not muddy or raspy. Want to see what headers would do to this setup but I fear that it would get loud enough to get pulled over a lot :/
I have the HKS Hi power, absolutely love it. It's much lighter than stock. Got a nice low tone at idle, reasonably quiet at 3.5k rpm around town and doesn't drone much on the highway.
It's absolutely ignorant when you get to the redline with a satisfying "Pop POP" between gear changes. Has a unique sort of burble when the RPM's are coming back down..

But when you give it some Welly it roars lovely Definitely recommend

I'm running it with the stock cat, and it's relatively loud, but not obnoxious. I haven't heard it compared to the borla though. My wife can hear me from about a quarter mile a way if she's outside and I get on it. At idle and just cruising, it's fairly tame. I haven't had any trouble with it or any unwanted attention. It is not raspy at all and doesn't bellow as much as say a Greddy SP2. It's actually only a tad louder than an SP2, so if you've heard one, you can get an idea for sound.
im running the hks hi-power with the RB dr midpipe. i absolutely love the sound, planning to get the RB header sometime too.
I had the hks hi power with ap midpipe and it was loud as hell but i loved it until i started getting pulled over all the time for it. You just have to keep the rpms down around the cops.
