What owners are saying

GENUINE MAZDA OEM Intake Solenoid for Mazda RX8 (Series 1 & 2, 2003-2012) GENUINE MAZDA OEM Intake Solenoid for Mazda RX8 (Series 1 & 2, 2003-2012)

Happy 8's day people! For you series 2 owners, here's the easiest way I found to change these little suckers. RX8 Upgrades providing the genuine goods as always. Remove the air box/ CAI, remove throttle body and remove the top part of the UIM only, this will get you easy access to the solenoids. Now you could remove them from this point, but removing the oil filler neck along with the vacuum chamber the solenoids mount to makes it FAR easier to change them. This whole job can be done in an afternoon for a mechanically minded person. On reassemble, don't forget to place the vacuum reference back onto the bottom of the manifold (has a green check valve) otherwise no valve will work. Reassemble and enjoy. Lighting on an RX8 does more than keep you road-legal. The headlights, side indicators, reversing lamps and number plate lights define how the car presents. For example, tired or mismatched globes undermine an otherwise well-kept build. Whether you are refreshing the exterior with RX8 LED side indicators or cleaning up the cabin with an RX8 interior LED pack, the right part matters. Also, sourcing a Xenon component for a car already running that system is straightforward when you know what to look for.

LED and Xenon options covered

Our RX8 LED lights Australia range addresses the positions owners replace most often. Mazda RX8 LED headlights give a crisper output than faded originals. Moreover, they hold their output consistently over time. For the rear of the car, Mazda RX8 reversing lights and RX8 number plate lights are frequently overlooked. However, they are immediately noticeable once refreshed.

For cars equipped with Xenon factory lighting, we stock relevant Xenon-specific components. These include Mazda RX8 Xenon ballast replacements and RX8 Xenon conversion kit options. Because Xenon and LED systems differ in how they drive the lamp, confirm your car’s existing lighting arrangement before ordering.

Mazda RX8 LED headlights and lighting positions

  • Mazda RX8 LED headlights suit owners refreshing the primary forward lighting position with a consistent, modern output.
  • In addition, RX8 LED side indicators update exterior signalling and help the flanks read cleanly against refreshed headlights.
  • Meanwhile, Mazda RX8 reversing lights and RX8 number plate lights round out the rear. As a result, presentation stays cohesive after dark.
  • Also, RX8 interior LED pack options replace dim or inconsistent factory globes for a neater, more uniform feel every time you open the door.
  • Finally, Mazda RX8 Xenon ballast and RX8 Xenon conversion kit parts are specific to Xenon-equipped cars. Therefore, confirm your system type before selecting.

Getting the detail right

Small lighting changes add up quickly when they are coordinated. Matching temperature and finish across headlights, side markers, reversing lamps and cabin globes makes a real difference, separating a considered build from a piecemeal one.

Confirm the lamp position and connector type before ordering. Also, check the product listing for series fitment notes where applicable. For official Mazda vehicle information, see Mazda Australia.

Frequently Asked Questions

What lighting positions can I upgrade on my RX8?

The RX8 lighting range covers headlights, side indicators, reversing lights, number plate lights and interior cabin lighting. Xenon-specific components including ballasts and conversion kits are also available for cars already running a Xenon setup. Confirming the lamp position and your car's existing lighting arrangement before ordering is important, as the correct part depends on application rather than appearance alone.

Can I fit LED headlights to my RX8?

LED headlight options are available for the RX8 and suit owners looking to update the headlight position specifically. Confirm the connector type and your car's current lighting arrangement before purchasing, as LED headlights and Xenon-based systems use different components and are not interchangeable.

My RX8 has Xenon headlights - what parts are relevant for me?

RX8 owners with factory Xenon headlights should look at Xenon-specific components such as replacement ballasts and Xenon conversion kits rather than LED headlight units. These are designed for the Xenon system already fitted to the car, so confirming your car's lighting type before ordering is essential.

Are LED side indicators and number plate lights available for the RX8?

Yes, LED side indicator and number plate light options are part of the RX8 lighting range. These allow owners to refresh exterior signalling and rear lighting detail without changing the headlights, and are a straightforward way to tidy up how the car presents at close range.

Is there an interior LED lighting option for the RX8 cabin?

RX8 interior LED pack options are available and suit owners wanting a cleaner, more consistent look inside the cabin. Swapping out the factory incandescent interior lamps for LEDs is one of the simpler lighting changes you can make, with an immediately noticeable improvement in cabin presentation.

How do I know which lighting part is correct for my RX8?

Before ordering any lighting component, confirm the lamp position you intend to replace, your RX8's current lighting system (LED, halogen or Xenon), and the required connector or component type. This is especially important when comparing LED headlights, Xenon ballasts and Xenon conversion kits, as these suit different vehicles and applications.

Can I update just one or two lighting positions, or does it need to be a full refresh?

Individual lighting positions can be updated independently. The range covers headlights, indicators, reversing lights, number plate lamps and interior lighting as separate components, so owners can address a single worn lamp or gradually coordinate multiple positions to achieve a more consistent overall appearance.
