Night and day difference, even on a bone stock suspension. While installing the AutoExe front strut bar greatly enhanced steering response and turn in, the handling improvements from it was very subtle. Likewise with the AutoExe tie bars installed in the front and back of the car. More solid feel, less suspension parts deflection under cornering loads. These Motion Control Beams took away the vibrations that are slightly felt in the steering wheel from small road surface imperfections. It also took away the bumps felt from pavement gaps and mostly the rumble felt from railway crossings and brick roads. Going through small pot holes and road patches, the stock suspension is finally doing its job to dampen away those bumps and doesn't get fully transmitted throughout the entire car. Big bumps, you don't hear a loud hollow "thump" emanating from the back of the car. Just a solid "thud". The car used to understeer and now it hardly does. It handles quite neutral now, even on bone stock open differential, and did I already say bone stock suspension? This is win win, all around, without sacrificing anything.

The RX8 motion control beam is a front-and-rear damping system that reduces chassis vibration and subtle body flex on real roads. It uses a friction-type damper with ultra-high damping to suppress micro-movement. Torsional rigidity increases, yet the suspension character stays supple rather than harsh. The chassis feels simultaneously stronger and more refined.

AUTOEXE MSE4900 RX8 Motion Control Beam Features

  • Friction-type damper technology targets micro-vibration directly, suppressing body flex without adding the stiffness of a conventional brace.
  • Front and rear fitment means both ends addressed simultaneously. The result is a compounding improvement in composure rather than a localised fix at one corner.
  • The RX8 motion control beam reinforces torsional rigidity, benefiting handling responsiveness, grip, roll speed and steering traceability across the full chassis.
  • Designed specifically for the Series 2 platform, so the dedicated mounting bracket locates correctly without modification.
  • Finally, AUTOEXE is a Hiroshima-based rotary specialist with decades of development on Mazda platforms. The MSE4900 was developed as a factory dealer-fitted option on new Mazda vehicles, reflecting genuine OEM-grade engineering intent.

For RX8 enthusiasts who cover a mix of city streets and open roads, the difference shows up quickly. Broken surfaces feel quieter through the wheel. Steering feedback becomes cleaner, stripped of the background noise that imperfect roads introduce.

Comfort improves at the same time as body rigidity increases. That combination is what makes the RX8 motion control beam genuinely distinctive among chassis parts.

The AUTOEXE Lower Arm Bar (Front) pairs naturally here, targeting front suspension compliance where the motion control beam focuses on damping body movement. For a fuller chassis refresh, the KTS SC Damper System Coilover Set lets you address ride height and damping alongside the vibration reduction this beam provides. The CUSCO Strut Brace Type OS (Front) with Brake Cylinder Stopper adds upper strut bracing to complete the front-end rigidity picture. Frequently Asked Questions

Does the AUTOEXE Motion Control Beam fit Series 1 RX8 models (2003-2008)?

No. The AUTOEXE MSE4900 Motion Control Beam is designed specifically for the Series 2 RX8 platform (2009-2012) and fits directly without modification. Series 1 owners should look for a separate fitment-specific product.

How is a motion control beam different from a standard chassis brace?

A conventional chassis brace works by adding structural rigidity between fixed points. The AUTOEXE Motion Control Beam targets micro-vibration and subtle body movement directly through a damping approach, so chassis composure and steering feel improve without making the ride any firmer.

Will fitting this make my RX8 ride stiffer or harsher on rough roads?

No. The motion-damping design is specifically aimed at reducing chassis vibration rather than adding stiffness, so daily ride comfort is not compromised. It suits owners who use their Series 2 RX8 on public roads and want a more settled, communicative feel without sacrificing comfort.

Does the MSE4900 cover both front and rear, or do I need to buy them separately?

The AUTOEXE MSE4900 is a front-and-rear kit. Both ends are addressed simultaneously, which is important because chassis vibration and body composure are affected by movement at both ends of the car.

Where will I notice the improvement most when driving?

The most noticeable difference is through the steering wheel on imperfect or broken road surfaces. Background vibration through the wheel settles, and overall body composure feels calmer, without the suspension feeling any firmer underfoot.

Does this require any modification or drilling to install on a Series 2 RX8?

No modification is required. The AUTOEXE MSE4900 is designed specifically for the Series 2 RX8 platform, so fitment is direct.

What other chassis parts pair well with the Motion Control Beam?

The AUTOEXE Lower Arm Bar (Front) complements the Motion Control Beam well, as it targets front suspension compliance while the beam focuses on damping body movement. If you also want to address ride height and damping, the KTS SC Damper System Coilover Set rounds out a more comprehensive chassis refresh.
